Inspiration is Random: 2 of 4

Last week I talked about design galleries and communities. While it’s important to stay up-to-date on all the latest and greatest in website design, I think it’s equally important to venture elsewhere online to find things that inspire you.

Blogs

Most of these are design related sites (including some website design), but there are a few (like Uncrate) that introduce me to all the things I would own if money grew on trees. I mean, who wouldn’t want a Scubacraft!?!?

The online world is as saturated with blog sites as design galleries, but there are a few that I can’t help checking on a regular basis:

Now that I’ve shown my cards, it’s only fair that you show yours. What you got?

Joshua Cole A'ight, here's my cards...http://www.artofthetitle.com http://www.designporn.ca http://posterwhore.com http://lookslikegooddesign.com http://www.touchpuppet.com http://surfstation.com Tue, Aug 24, 2010 8:22am
Josh Sullivan OK. Now that you have all these great links please let me recommend NetNewsWire. Download it and subscribe to these feeds. What's so nice is that you can flag articles you enjoy or find inspiration in. Bookmarks are great and all but at some point you need a little help consuming this huge amount of content. Also there is an iPhone and iPad app and it syncs with Google Reader. So your feeds are where ever you are. Do it now and thank me later. Tue, Aug 24, 2010 8:45am
Joshua Cole Oh yes. Good addition Josh. I personally a pairing of Google Reader, to subscribe to the feeds, and NewsRack on my iPod/Phone, and NetNewsWire on my desktop. RSS feeds are certainly a great way to consume large amounts of content across multiple sites. Tue, Aug 24, 2010 9:33am
