Bluegrass Cellular (BGC) is an awesome regional cell phone provider in Central Kentucky. They have been a long-term client of Paramore and have given us many opportunities for fun and unique website projects. We designed their corporate website about 3 years ago, and are currently in the process of re-designing the site for a launch later this year.
One neat thing about BGC is that they genuinely care about their customers and their community. They’re good at what they do, and they’ve been doing it for 20 years now. Their dedication shows through in many ways, especially with their excellent customer service and advanced product offerings. It also shows through on two brand new community focused mini-websites we just launched for them, the 5K Race and 20th Anniversary sites.
5k Race Mini-Site
Every year, Bluegrass Cellular hosts a 5k race/fun run in their community. In the past, there hasn’t been much of a website presence to promote the race. In fact, there was just one simple page of information. This year, we helped them develop this special mini-site with much more info about the race, and even a route map and training tips.
The website is a little different in the way that it is one really long page. Each “link” just slides you further down the page to another piece of content. It’s a unique way to navigate a website, and somehow felt appropriate for a website focused on running.
We’re really happy with how this site turned out, and the good folks at BGC are as well. We hope that it will help drive even more folks to sign up for the race and support the causes.
20th Anniversary Mini-Site
This year, BGC is celebrating their 20th anniversary of being in business! They wanted a special way to appreciate their employees and customers online, so we came up with the idea for this mini-site with thumbnails of selected employees and customers. The page also features five special stories from folks on their experience and memories with Bluegrass Cellular over the past 20 years.
We were looking for a fun, interactive, and unique way to show off their customers and employees and we think we accomplished it. The feedback so far from the community has been great, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the website progress and changes throughout the rest of the 20th anniversary year.
In a world where everything seems to become more and more automated, and less focused on a personal connection with customers; it’s refreshing to see a company focused on their customers and community. Great job Bluegrass Cellular, and thanks for letting us play a part in that!Share Article
